sewage disposal system

There are three main processes in sewage disposal unit: settling tank, pump house, and sprinkler beds. The settling tank used to collect all the waste from main pipe before the process. Pump house used to flow the polluted water so that the water flow in high speed and can be process. And the sprinkler beds as the end of process. First, the waste from house or other building flow through the main sewer and collected in settling tank. The settling tank contents polluted water and also solid things that can not be separated and can be used anymore. In this tank the process is sedimentation so the solid things will separated from the water in the bottom of the tank. The solid things will be burnt or removed from the settling tank, they are removed from the process. After polluted water separated from the solid things, pump house flow the water to the sprinkler beds. In this case there is no process. In the last process, sprinkler beds separate the polluted water from solid things those can’t be processed in settling tank and become sediment. The sprinkler contents brick, chemical filter, jet pump, and rotating arms. The process is: polluted water flow to the jet pump on the rotating arms, the rotating arms rotate the jet pump while it shot the water to the filter. So the process can separates the water from smaller solid things in addition brick and chemical filter process the water become pure water again, separate from chemical contents that dangerous for people. After the process the purified water can be used again or flow the river.

Fire on Top

One of Jakarta’s famous monuments is Monumen Nasional or publicly known as Monas. This 137 centimeters high monument symbolizes the fight of Indonesian people for its independence against the Dutch. The monument is topped with a bronze fire flame statue covered in 35 kilograms of pure gold. It symbolizes the spirit of Indonesian people that never dies. The fire flame is placed on the top terrace. From inside of this terrace we can have the bird-eye view of Jakarta. Monas also has a diorama room inside the base of the monument. The dioramas show the history of Indonesia. Bendera Pusaka, the first Indonesian flag sewed by the first first-lady of Indonesia, is also kept inside the monument along side with the Indonesian independence declaration by the first president and vice president.

Sewage Disposal System

Before sewage from industries is thrown to the river, it needs to be processed to keep the environment safe from chemical or dangerous waste. There are 3 steps until the sewage become a purified water that can enter the river. The first step is done in the settling tank. In this part, the sewage or the polluted waste is run through the main sewer pipe to the settling tank. The polluted water is pumped to the pumped house while the solid sewage that has not decayed is removed and burned in the settling tank. From the pumped house, the remaining waste is pumped to the sprinkler beds. The sprinkler beds consist of brickwork, filter of stones and microorganism, rotating arm, and jets of polluted water. In this step, the polluted water is purified through the filter and rotating arm. After the water is purified, the water can enter the river.

How to Extract Methane Gas from Household Waste

Since technology keeps developing, now there’s a system that is capable of extracting methane gas from household waste. This system is divided into five stages. Firstly, the household waste is put into the warming bed and it will be decayed there. The decayed waste or anaerobe will create methane gas while some of the waste becomes fertilizer. Next, that methane gas goes to the dirt trap. In this stage, the methane gas will be settled so the dirt contained in the gas will be separated. After that, the gas goes to gas indicator. Water in this stage helps the gas to be purified and so methane bubbles can be seen in this stage. Then, the gas goes to the forth stage, which is pressure release. Excess gas occurs when the pressure is high. The last stage of this system is called gas holder. There are inner tubes to hold the methane gas and there are weights above the inner tubes in order to increase the gas pressure. Whenever the gas is needed, the tap can be opened so the methane gas will be released through this tap.

Sewage Disposal Unit

The polluted water that is usually thrown to the river because of the activity of houses and industries can be purified before, so it will reduce the impact of polluted water to the environment. There is a process for purifying the polluted water. First, polluted water is flown to the main server pipe. After that, the main server offers the polluted water into the settling tank. In the settling tank, the undecayed solids in the polluted water is removed and burned. Then, the polluted water that has been separated with the undecayed material goes to the pump house. From the pump house, the water enters the sprinkler beds that have brickwork which can help the process of filtering of stones and micro organisms that are contained by the water and the rotating arms that adjust the jets of polluted water. Finally, the water that has been purified by those processes enters the river and doesn’t pollute its environment.

Description Paragraph about water distribution

The water distribution in every building is different. It could be depend on the design of the house. The water distribution in the diagram below shows in this house there are two system of water distribution. The first is the water distribution for the cold water, and then for the hot water.

First, cold water from the ground is pump, so, it can flows through the mains and then split up into two different ways, to the left and to the top. After that, the mains in the left side distributes the cold water to the sink while the mains in the top side distributes cold water to four different place; toilet, wash basin, bath, and cold water tank. Then, cold water in cold water tank flows to the hot water tank. After cold water being heated in hot water tank, the mains from the hot water tank distributes hot water into two different ways; the mains in the right side distributes hot water to the bath and to the wash basin while the mains in the under side distributes hot water to the sink.

Tahu Sumedang

Tahu is kind of food which basically come from Japan. All kind of tahu was made from soybean curd. But tahu Sumedang is different from just an ordinary tofu. Its crust is brown and really crispy while the inner side is white, soft and very delicious. Tahu Sumedang will be more delicious if it is eaten when still hot. The way to eat tahu Sumedang is also different. Usually tahu Sumedang served with sauce, chili, and lontong (rice steamed in banana leaf). Tahu Sumedang can be a snack in the evening or become a main menu in the lunch and dinner. Tahu Sumedang is also has special package. It packs with the bamboo plait basket and layered with oil paper.

Sewage Disposal Unit

Polluted water from both housing waste and factory waste should be cleaned before its throw away to the river. The process to make the water become purify needs many steps. First, polluted water flows through the main sewer. Then the polluted water enters the settling tank. In the settling tank, water and undecayed solids separated. The undecayed solids will be removed and burned. After that, the water flow to the pump house. After through the pump house, the water flows to the sprinkler beds. In the sprinkler beds water will be filtered from stones and micro organisms and left the jets of polluted water. At last the result of water purification flows to the river.

Methane from Waste

One method of obtaining methane is via biogas generated from waste. At first, the waste goes into a warming bed and gets heated until certain degree in order to separate methane from it. After that, methane is stored into the dirt trap while the waste can be used as fertilizer. Inside the dirt trap, the remain dirt is discarded through the release cap. Next, methane goes into the gas indicator unit to be mixed with water in a sealed container. At a certain temperature and pressure, bubbles are visible. It means some methane in gas form is developed. Then, while the excess gas of high pressure is released to the water inside the pressure release unit, the rest of the gas is stored into inner tubes of the gas holder. Here some weighs are being put on tubes in order to increase gas pressure. Finally, all of the tubes lead to a tap where methane can be released any time.

The Odong-Odong

Academic Writing 08: Definition and Process Paragraph.

The Odong-odong

In Bekasi, there is known somekind of non-motored vehicle called odong-odong. Odong-odong, simply is the

transportation that travel children around the environment. This ride is also facilitated by music surrounding

system especially kid's songs. The odong-odong specifically contains about ten children plus one or two of their

baby-sitter or someone older to supervise them. It starts moving from house to house to check anyone to join and

then travel around the house complex for one or two laps. It is usually operated in the afternoon, when the children

are finished with their school activity and over when the sunset comes.

Water System

Academic Writing 08: Definition and Process Paragraph.

Water System

In my house, there is none of using PAM facility so we practically use water pump. First, turn on the electric power and wait for the water pump to get to work. Water pump will pump the soil water up to the water tank. It is on the fifteen-feet-high water tower. Water will be saved in the water tank temporarily. When the tank full, then turn off the water pump to save the energy. Finally, water will be distributed as hot or cool water to every faucet.

The Sewage Disposal Units

The waste water need a treatment to remove the sewage contained in it. Sewage is a liquid or semi-liquid wasted that could be very harmful to organism because it contains any toxicate substrate. That’s why the water need to be processed before entering the river.
The processing of water’s sewage involve three stages.First, the water’s sewage will be processed in the settling tank ,then secondly, they will goes to the pump house and the last, the will sent to the sprinkler beds.
The proceeding of sewage begin in the settling tank. The polluted/wasted water sent to the settling tank through the main sewer. After reach the settling tank, the water will be processed by separating the water liquid and the polluting substrate in it (the solid pollutant). The solid pollutants such as the mineral, metal or any other undecayed solids will be removed and burned. And then the water liquid which already separated from it’s solids pollutants sent to the pump house. In the pump house, there is no other procedding happened to the water; the water will be directly pumped to the last stages. The last stages knowned as Sprinkler Beds . The water in this stage will be processed chemically. The water pumped by the pump house goes to the special pipe. This pipe sprinkle the water in to the container below. In the container, the water will be filtered from any toxicate substrate, germs and any harmful microorganicsm using special chemical-filltering method. After the filtering/purified process the clean water will be entering the river thorugh the pipe from the sprinkle beds.

Sewage Disposal Unit

Sewage disposal unit is the way to purified polluted water before enter the river. As we know, this polluted water really dangerous for human health. Before the polluted water purified by sewage disposal unit, the water contents of wastes and dangerous substances from house and factory. Sewage disposal unit help to decrease the dangerous of polluted water before they enter the river.

There are three steps in sewage disposal unit to purify the polluted water. First , the polluted water come from the main sewer and store in the settling tank. In this settling tank, some of substances in polluted water change into sediment formed. Than, the water is pumped by the pump house in oder to make the polluted water enter the sprinkler bed. After that, the polluted water purified in the sprinkle bed. In sprinkler beds, polluted water will be purified and will remove from microorganisms, stones, and other dangerous substances. Water that comes out from sprinkler bed will be safe to enter the river,

Less of dangerous for the environment, and human health.

Three Stages to Remove Contaminants from the Sewage

Sewage is the liquid waste produced by humans which typically contains washing, faeces, urine, laundry waste and other liquid or semi-liquid wastes from household and industry. It is one type of waste water.
In order to discharge the sewage to the environment, there’s needed to be a sewage treatment. Sewage treatment is the process of removing the contaminants from the waste water. Its objective is to produce a waste stream and a solid waste or sludge, which are suitable for discharge and reuse back into environment.
Sewage treatment involves three stages, called primary, secondary, and tertiary treatment. First, in the primary stage, sewage from the main sewer is flowed to the settling tank. In the settling tank, polluted water is separated from its contaminants. These contaminants will be dissolved and become sediment in the bottom of the settling tank. This sediment is an undecayed solids, so it must be removed and burned.
After that, in the secondary stage, the polluted water is distributed to the pump house. In the pump house, polluted water is pump to reach the sprinkler beds, which is located higher than the grounds.
In the tertiary treatment stage, polluted water is filtered in the sprinkler beds. Polluted water, which has reached rotating arms beneath the sprinkler beds, will be sprayed to the sprinkler beds. The sprinkler beds are designed with layer, so the polluted water can be filtered. This filtering process will remove stones and micro-organisms from the polluted water. Water, which has came out from the sprinkler beds, is not polluted and hazardous anymore. Therefore, it can be discharged to the environment.

Water Purification System

Water is needed in many activities in human life such as in household or industrial activities. However, the outcome of these processes will produce polluted water. Before this polluted water is flown into rivers, the water needs to be purified. The purification process is started when the polluted water, along with some other undecayed materials are flown from the main sewer into the settling tank. In this tank, the undecayed materials are removed and burned while the polluted water is pumped by the pump house into the sprinkler beds which function as a filter machine. In this machine, polluted water is flown to rotating arms. In the rotating arms, polluted water is converted into jets which later will flow into the filter side. In the filter sides, stones and microorganism have already arranged properly to filter the polluted material in the water. After passing this process, the outcome purified water will be flown into the rivers.
