I was born in Curup city, one of cities in Bengkulu province. Since I was a baby until I graduate the Senior High School, I lived in this beloved city. In accordance with it's motto, "Curup Kota Idaman (Indah dan Aman)", Curup is a clean, beautiful, and peaceful city. We can see many trees here. Most of the sides of roads are planted by the trees. The yard in front of the houses are also planted by trees, and some garden are built in some spots in the city. The polution level in Curup is still low, that causes the air here is absolutely fresh. Curup is such a peaceful city, the criminal acts are rarely happen here. This peacefulness can be reached because the citizen have a high solidarity and sense of belonging. There are always some patrols at night. The men take turns in doing patrols.
Curup is also relatively free from disasters. The flood and landslide never happen in this city. besides, Curup is far from the sea, so there's just a little possibility of getting tsunami. When earthquake happened in Bengkulu in 1999, Curup just get a little shaking. The disaster that possibly happen in Curup is eruption, in view of the location of Curup that near a volcano called Kaba Mountain.
The last thing I will tell you about Curup is the food. The taste of food in Curup is so different from the food in Bandung. The people in Curup love hot food very much. There are some of my favourite food that I can't find in Bandung, such as empek-empek panggang and miso (a food resemble bakso, but the meatballs are replaced by chicken). This food makes me miss Curup so much. Hmmm... think of peacefulness and the food in Curup makes me can't help seeing Curup again.. I am sure you will feel the same way i do if you ever come to Curup.
Thanks for posting. Your writing does not have clear 'target reader' and influences by spoken language. We will talk about this matters in class.
